Kaubamaja- the winner of the Estonian Digital Excellence Award 2016, who received 40% of the votes, was announced at the eCommerce Annual Conference gala dinner.
Three finalists emerged during the first round of voting at the award event: Barking, DPD Eesti client portal minupakk.ee, and Kaubamaja’s online shop. The second round of voting was amongst the three finalists.
“Awesome. I think that the coolest thing is that since we started developing our web shop in 2013, our customers have really responded well and appreciated all the effort we have put into our online presence. I’m very happy about that,” said Kaubamaja eCommerce Manager, Martin Lond. He added that this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of great colleagues. “Congratulations to the entire Kaubamaja family!” added Lond.
Lond shared that the competitors were strong. “But I believe that our edge is that we have managed to digitalise the Kaubamaja whole experience for our customers. We have been there for our customers for decades, and now for already a year we have been available for them also online,” he added.
The other finalists included Vaimo’s client e-Selver, Loom24.ee, Boost Yourself, Barking, and DPD Eesti client portal minupakk.ee.
The Estonian Digital Excellence Awards, organized by the Estonian eCommerce Union, are running for the third year in a row. Last year’s winner was Apotheka Netiapteek, and the winner for 2014 was Andmorefashion.com.
